Happiness?

By George “Chip” Hammond

The strange thing is, the "do what makes you happy," "do what is easy and comfortable" culture that we've cultivated in the last decade has produced a lot of very unhappy people. And while modern Christians "put on a happy face" most of them don't fare much better because they live by the same philosophy that our culture swims in.

Sadly, many of our modern Evangelical churches promote it because it's a message that goes down like candy. Yet many people spend their lives running from thing to thing, place to place, church to church, trying to find happiness in an "easy life."

We want to offer an alternative. We invite you to Bethel Church Sundays at 11 a.m., where you'll hear the hard but good truth that it's not about you. If you would find joy and fulfillment you have to die to yourself, you have to change, you have to grow in ways that will hurt.

It's the unvarnished, unadulterated message of Jesus, and whose who embrace it find LIFE (not just existence).
